Gym1Gym3Gym/Fitness Membership Reimbursement Program

This is a reimbursement program for any tenant that lives in social housing and has purchased a gym/fitness membership.

How does it work?

Registration: Interested tenants must register at the Moose Jaw Housing Authority office at 255 Caribou Street West, Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Payment: Tenants are required to bring in their receipt showing that they have paid for the gym/fitness membership. This can either be a yearly membership paid in full or on a monthly contract. If the tenant has a monthly contract, they will have to bring in proof every month to show that the payment has been made in order to get their reimbursement.

Receive: Once proof of payment has been brought into the MJHA office, you will then qualify to receive up to 75% or $45.00 whichever is the lesser amount reimbursed to the tenant.

Who is Eligible?

Current family tenants of the Moose Jaw Housing Authority who are in social housing and whose rent is geared to their income. Tenants with a ‘zero’ or credit balance on their account. Tenants that have given their Notice to Vacate or are under an Eviction Order are not eligible.

Some Rules Apply

  1. This service is available only to current social housing tenants with the Moose Jaw Housing Authority.
  2. Tenants that are moving or evicted do not qualify.
  3. Only one gym/fitness membership per household.
  4. Reimbursements will only be made to the adult of the household. This will not be handed over to the children in the household, grandparents, friends, etc. that are acting on behalf of the adult of the household.
